Assoc. Prof. Martin Mostýn and Dr. Milan Pišl participated in an international scientific conference of the Association of Germanists of the Czech Republic called (KREUZ)WEGE DER GERMANISTIK (The Intersections of German Studies), held from May 27 to May 30, 2026, which was hosted this year by Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. This was an outstanding professional forum in the field of German Studies within the Central European region, focusing on current research trends in German linguistics, literature, and teaching German as a foreign language.
From 10 to 12 June 2026, Xinying Chen and Miroslav Kubát presented findings of the linguistic research at the 17
th International Conference on Corpus Linguistics, CILC 2026. The conference was held at the Autonomous University of Madrid and focused on current approaches, methods, and future perspectives in corpus linguistics.
Xinying Chen presented the results of linguistic research on syntactic structures in disinformation texts at the prestigious COMPTEXT 2026 conference. In her presentation, titled “Simplicity in truth, complexity in lies: Syntactic patterns in Czech news,” she demonstrated how modern quantitative text analysis methods can identify specific structural patterns in Czech news based on their credibility.
