Presentation of Research Results at IPMU 2026 in Rome

From 15 to 19 June 2026, the 21st International Conference on Information Processing and Management of Uncertainty in Knowledge-Based Systems – IPMU 2026 – took place at the Faculty of Economics of Sapienza University of Rome. The conference is an important international forum for presenting theoretical, methodological and applied results in the fields of uncertainty processing, knowledge representation, fuzzy logic, decision-making, machine learning and artificial intelligence. It brings together experts from various fields and enables the exchange of the latest knowledge on methods for working with imprecise, incomplete or uncertain information.

The members of the research team of the project Biography of Fake News with a Touch of AI were strongly represented in the conference programme. The conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Michal Holčapek, Assoc. Prof. Petra Murinová, Dr David Adamczyk, Dr Libor Běhounek and Dr Petra Števuliáková. In addition to the conference participants from IRAFM, other members of the project research teams, including researchers from outside the institute, also contributed to the presented research.

The presentation “Can I Trust This Text?”, co-authored, among others, by Dr Petra Števuliáková and Dr Michal Místecký, a member of research team VZ1.1, from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava, is one of the first outputs of cooperation between the individual project research teams, specifically VZ1 and VZ3.
