In mid-September, Dr. Vlček from the Department of Sociology and Dr. Kundrát from the Department of Psychology presented their joint research at the largest AI festival in the Czech Republic, organised by Černá AI

In the first part, they explained how Czech journalists use AI. In the second, they showed how easy it is to misinterpret data on AI use and offered several tips on how to approach this type of survey critically. These topics fall within a broader research project on which the Department of Sociology and the Department of Psychology are collaborating under the OP JAK programme. Together with Dr. Hiris, Dr. Slavík, and Mgr. Řečka, Vlček and Kundrát are investigating public trust in AI on the one hand, and the creators who work with AI – journalists – on the other.

The Černá AI Festival brought together over 2,200 participants and more than 100 experts working with AI. We would like to thank the organisers of the Černá AI Festival for the invitation and look forward to taking part again.
