Project Presentation at the Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications 2026 Conference (Liptovský Ján, Slovakia)

From 25 to 30 January 2026, the 18th  International Conference on Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications (FSTA 2026) took place in the spa village of Liptovský Ján, Slovakia. From the perspective of implementing the „Biography of Fake News with a Touch of AI“ project, this was an important event, as the conference was attended by members of the research teams VZ 3.1, VZ 3.3, and VZ 4.2 from the Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling (IRAFM).

The conference provided a platform not only for scientific presentations, but also for panel discussions and informal meetings, during which members of the project teams had the opportunity to review the project′s progress to date, share methodological experiences, and discuss potential directions for further research with colleagues from international institutions. As part of the conference programme, the project was presented by Mgr. David Adamczyk, Ph.D. (member of the VZ 3.1 team), Mgr. Karel Fiala (member of the VZ 4.2 team), and Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Petra Murinová, Ph.D. (leader of the VZ 4.2 team). Dr. Adamczyk made a significant contribution to the preparation of the paper “Large Language Models in SAT Reasoning.” Mgr. Fiala, together with Assoc. Prof. Murinová, prepared and delivered the paper “Properties of Graded Peterson′s Square of Opposition as Immediate Inferences”. Participation in the conference provided the IRAFM project teams with valuable feedback, an opportunity to compare their results with current trends in the field, and support for establishing contacts for future professional collaboration. The insights gained will be used in the subsequent stages of the Biography of Fake News with a Touch of AI project (CZ.02.01.01/00/23_025/0008724).
